Amendment of the AWEA Bylaws

AWEA is proposing to change its Constitution and Bylaws.  The proposed changes have been reviewed by the Water Environment Federation (WEF) Constitution and Bylaws Committee and their recommendations have been incorporated. The amendments are summarized as follows:

1. Changes in the wording to reflect consistency with current Water Environment Federation terminology and governance. For example all existing references to "Director" have been changed to "Delegate" consistent with the governance changes in WEF.
2. Have amended sections which referred to calendar year fiscal operations to fiscal year since our fiscal year no longer follows the calendar year.
3. Amended section 4 to clarify the responsibilities, nominations, and terms of AWEA officers.

Please submit an email to kpolifka@thecassadyco.com to "Approve" or "Disapprove" the proposed changes.  A majority vote of the ballots cast is required for adoption.
