On behalf of the Alabama Water Environment Association (AWEA), I am requesting your sponsorship of AWEA’s programs and activities for Fiscal Year 2009/2010. AWEA supports a number of programs and activities, including our annual state-wide technical conference, an informative quarterly newsletter for members and water environmental professionals, maintaining a website to communicate useful information to our membership (www.awea-al.com), awards for outstanding professional achievements and service, support for student chapters at three universities, scholarships for students, and much needed research on policy and technologies through the Water Environment Research Foundation.  Your donation to AWEA supports these programs.

AWEA is a non-profit, educational, and technical organization, which has been dedicated to preserving, protecting, and managing Alabama’s waters since 1979.

AWEA’s goals, as presented in our Strategic Plan, are to:

• Advance the knowledge and understanding of Alabama’s water environment.
• Share and exchange water quality information and expertise among members, industry professionals, and the public.
• Deliver high quality educational services and products to water quality professionals and colleagues.
• Promote and advance the water quality industry through effective communication strategies.
• Support the application of sound science.

As a 501(c)(3) organization, a large part of our success is due to financial contributions from companies such as yours.  The enclosed form describes the levels of sponsorship available. As a corporate sponsor, you will be recognized at the annual technical conference, any AWEA event held during this year, and in each issue of the quarterly newsletter, The Wave.  In addition, as a full corporate sponsor, AWEA will provide a link from our website to yours, if you choose.
