The
management and operation of today’s pumping stations,
water and wastewater, is very important from several aspects.
One is the management of the actual pumping operations and
the “life” of the pumps. One other is how effective
the pumping operations are. How much does it cost the utility
to pump a gallon liquid? How is the pump’s efficiency
affected by time as applied to the level of power cost? How
is the utility monitoring the cost of the pumping station?
These will be some of the questions asked and answered in
the paper presented by Tink Schaffer.
