Disasters including Hurricanes Ivan and Katrina in our state and region have made the
need to immediately mobilize water and wastewater capabilities to the affected communities
more than clear. With water and wastewater utilities already having some degree of capability
at networking, AlaWARN formed to do just this. AlaWARN is a network of utilities that are networked
to cooperate in providing services during time of overwhelming emergency.
