The Director shall serve as committee chair.  The Past President serves as a member of the Committee. Other members are to be determined as needed.  The committee provides long-range plans and goals for the Board of Directors and Committees to implement, proposes the slate of officer nominees each year, and proposes the Director(s) for the Association.

PRIMARY ACTIVITIES

1. Submits written reports to the Board summarizing committee activities.
2. The committee shall serve the Association in a policy advisory role. Recommendations shall be presented to the Board of Directors to be implemented by the respective committees.
3. Recommends and confirms sites for the annual conference for 3 years in advance.
4. Meets as often as necessary to nominate the slate of officers and the Director(s) and presents the names of the nominees to the Board of Directors by written report no later than the Board Meeting at the Annual Conference for the Association Officers, and no later than the Board Meeting immediately preceding the Federation Annual Conference for the Association Directors. The Committee will strive to nominate at least one newcomer each year, and all nominees shall be capable and willing to serve if asked.
5. Recommends to the Board of Directors candidates for Federation Awards.
6. Advises the Board to ensure consistency with the By-Laws of the Association.
7. Reviews proposed policy for conformance with By-Laws and Articles of Incorporation.
8. Reviews changes in Federation By-Laws for incorporation on the Association level, if appropriate.
9. One member shall be appointed as Historian. The Historian shall be responsible for maintaining all pertinent records of the Association in a centralized location. This should include the following information as a minimum:

a. Newsletters
b. Minutes of all meetings
c. Annual conference data (including technical program)
d. Histogram (keeping it current)
